When I rename (change) the application that opens a file, the file opens
with this changed application but the ICON remains the same. It is the
Icon of the former application which no longer opens the file. How do I
get the Icon next to the file name in windows explorer 7 to reflect the
correct Icon? TIA, Jim

You must change the icon using folder options in either IE or the control
panel.
