Slow internet
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Windowsxp on this machine 2988Mbsec
Windows Vista on this machine 4890
Modem provisioned for 5 Mhz.
WHY?
I certainly don't expect to see this huge difference. Same programs
installed, the Vista was a simple upgrade form the XP setup.
On my other machine which is a Much slower processor and 512 megs as
against 2 gigs of memory it runs at the 4890 rate with XP. Vista has
not been tested on that machine and never will be :-)
