As you said, it's an intermittent problem reported by many others in
this newsgroup, and remains unresolved yet. Was this problem seen after
installing a particular software, or a particular update from AU/WU?
Only option that I can think of is to do a System Restore rollback to a
date when the problem was not seen.


You may wish to see if you have the latest video drivers for your system.
