I am not sure how this happened but my video is now quite squirrely. The
problem occurs other places, but the simplest description is when I play
Solitaire. When I move a card from one place to another it is painted in
the
new place as well as the old! As soon as I click anywhere in the window,
it
is repainted correctly. In other applications, there is excessive
painting/repainting of the screen. Sometimes it's just confusing other
times
it obfuscating!!
My video is Intel 82865G. I downloaded and installed the latest driver
(6.14.10.4396) this evening and it had no effect.
Suggestions?
What else is running, and have you rebooted recently? Does the system seem
sluggish otherwise?
When was the last time you cleared out temporary files and cleared the
caches?
ccleaner can help ease that; the Windows cleanup utility doesn't work very
well. You may wish to not install the toolbar and to keep cookies (or
not). Pay attention to the options.

You may find that Process Explorer gives you much more detailed and useful
information as to what's actually running.
