I'm getting error ID 1002 constantly (daily), with this text in Event
Viewer -
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 19/05/2007
Time: 10:48:57

Computer: LEN
Description:
Unexpected or missing value (name: 'PackageName', value: '') in key

(This last sentence is a waste of time and space - yields message "Sorry we
can't help").
I believe it's something to do with Skype (latest version) which is acting
oddly.
Skype itself works just fine, but strange thing is, every time I boot up, a
"windows" style window (not Skype's) opens up, with first message
"installing Skype", then "configuring" it ... this has only happened since
latest version installation.
Checked my "start-up" items, cannot see anything Skype-installation related.
Any ideas? Not a major issue (since Skype works) but would be good to get
rid of it!
Secondary question, out of curiosity - have a large # of CLSID's in curly
brackets with very long alphanumeric strings (similar to above error
message). I think these are programs (or parts of) but - are these
alphanumeric CLSID's unique to one pc, or does everyone get the same
strings?
Reason I ask - I seem to have two which are consistently reported as not
being required (and deleted) by "clean-up" utilities, only for them to be
put back again. If it's meaningful I'll try to collect and post the string,
but if it's unique to my pc, wasted effort.
