Hello,
To rule out that your iPod may not be the problem, try connecting to another
computer and see if it works.
Install the driver (iTunes) for your ipod from here. If you already have it,
try uninstalling and reinstalling it back.

Ok, so I went out and got an iPod nano. I had it for about 5 months, and
now
all of a sudden it just doesn't connect to my computer anymore. The
computer
does not recognize the device, thus making it impossible to put new songs
onto my iPod. I go onto google, and look up some iPod forums ( and try
apples
site, but they were basically useless ) and from what i understand, i am
missing my USB mass storage driver ( the drive used for iPods, is what i'm
guessing). I have no idea where to find this or how to find it. I tried
google, but who knows what is safe anymore on free downloads. Is there any
downloads on the microsoft site for this driver, or am I going to have to
wait like a month till my moms friend can fix the computer?
