Vanguard the monitor goes black with the standby light still on, the computer is still running but I have to reboot to get the monitor on again.

My power supply is a Thermaltake so Idon't think it's a cheapie, I don't use cheap parts in my pc. The screensaver is Watermill 3d screensaver by 3planesoft. CPU temp 43-48 MB Temp 42

I have upgraded my video card to the latest but haven't tried playing a game with it just this screensaver.


Same problem (of the monitor going into standby power mode) when you use some OTHER screen saver, or don't use one at all? Maybe the problem is with that particular program. If you want to exercise your CPU and GPU, you could try using benchmark programs, like Passmark's.
