Might be possible that your hard disk is failing.
Corrupt disc errors may indicate that the disk is failing. Try running a
full sector scan with HDTune..

...and doing the error scan.. it is free.

My computer takes about 15 to 20 minutes to start up; when it does start

it goes fairly slow and the mouse moves around slowly; sometimes it'll be
working okay, but then I open iTunes and the computer gets slow and the
sound will start messing up randomly and most of the time.
Also, my space bar is not very responsive while I'm typing this.
