I recently installed a new Logitech Keyboard on my computer and it worked
fine, I shut down for the night and in the morning turn it on...and its all
discolored. My monitor has a Pink look now and all the gree in missing, so if
theres something green, it wont be there. I dont know how to fix this. if
possible tell me how to fix this.
Ive tried display Properties, Monitor color properties, graphics card
properties, and actually trying a system restore.
As a retired Tv Tech maybe I can help. First go to my site and look at the
colour bar. It is exactly as the thing we in the bad old days paid some 500
pounds for. It is at http://www.ii.net/~borge/Colour. In there is a RAWCBAR.jpg
click on that and the colour bar will show you if you have lost green entirely.
Ideally on computer monitors we should look at it with a Red, Green and Blue
filter, one at a time. You would then get two on two off and two on with the red
filter, four on and four off with the green filter and finally every other
starting with the first with the blue filter.
Now if the green is really missing with that inspection, remove the video plug
(switch off first) and have a look for bent pins. More than likely be the
trouble before you take the monitor off for repairs.
