Did you run a chkdsk /r on it? Note that running chkdsk on it may lead to loss of files and user data.

Stop Error: 0x000000ED(0x82F6CE30,0XC0000006,0x00000000,0x00000000) Unmountable_Boot_Volume. I have used the Recovery CD with the option to repair. It stops without completing and has unrecoverable problems noted. I also did the fixboot option, and it still won't start up Windows. I can't get to Safe Mode either. It just runs the startup list and then goes back to the blue stop error screen. Any other suggestions? I'm stumped. He didn't backup his documents and hopes I can at least save his resume somehow.
