I had to install a program, to burn a disc from an ISO file, to update the
firmware on our server harddrives last Friday. Since I did that I can no
longer drag and drop files to the CD burner. I continually receive a
window
saying "Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. What
do
you want windows to do?" Then it gives the file information (I tried many
different files and file types to eliminate the simple problem) and three
choices for retry, skip or cancel. In all cases I just need to eventually
cancel. I checked properties on the drive and it is showing cd recording
capabilities turned on. Is there some hotfix or some way to restore
whatever
may have been killed when I installed the program to burn the ISO file? I
did uninstall the ISO program to try and help make the problem easier to
fix.
Thank you for your time and consideration
What program did you use to burn the ISO file?
See if this article has any bearing on the problem.
