it seems that an issue
with that file has come up
a few times these past
few days.
not sure if this would help
but one poster fixed an
issue with his svchost.exe
file by simply renaming it...
not sure to what, maybe
svchost.bak or something.

For no explained reason my shut down hangs with "saving personal settings"
and my bootup hangs with "svchost.exe application error."
I have restored to a previous day but but that has not fixed the problem.
Would like some thoughts about how to approach a solution to this.
