Hi all,

I am having a major problem with my XP Pro system and hope I
can
recover qithout losing all of my data.

When I boot up, I come to the signon screen but no users show
up on
the screen. Since I cannot signon, it just sits on that
screen. I have
tried to boot to safe mode, use last know configuration and
everything
else I can think of.

If nothing else, I am hoping to get to the drive to recover
my data.

Any help is appreciated.

At the Welcome Screen, hit the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys twice.
This should bring up the Logon to Windows dialog.
Enter your User Name and password.

Once you are able to logon, you might want to go to Control
Panel -> User Accounts and disable the Welcome Screen. With the
Welcome Screen disabled, you'll see the Logon to Windows dialog
when you start up.

Once you have your important files backed up, you can research
the Welcome Screen issue.

Good luck
