RE: message after start up, got worse

Thanks! Here it goes, after logging in as an administarator ( safe mode) I
wans unable to uncheck to the backupnotify entry, because I couldnt find it
under the STARTUP tab.
I ran eventvwr.msc , though and it showed errors in all three :
application, security and system. Here is what I found
APPLICATION:

source: Application Hang

no info abou it
SECURITY:

IPSec Services failed to set the complete list of network interfaces on the
machine.
This can be potential security hazard to the machine since some of the
network interfaces may not get protection as desired by IPSec filters.

Computer is not freezing ( so far) but I still didnt solve the issue
regarding this backupnotify message.
oh, and I went to the link given before, ran clean boot, but then the
message popped out, that I need to switch my settings to normal startup again.
I scanned. Didnt detect any wiruses.

On start Up try to Tap F8 until you get the Boot up options window/Menu
select safe Mode and log in.
There try to have a look in the event viewer, to access the event viewer try
this:
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc click [OK]
On the Event viewer Click on al this three one-by-one and look on the right
Pane/window for any error messages(X):
Application
System
Security
To get more info about the causer double click the error Number to get more
info and you can copy and paste in your next post HERE and the exact wording
please.
Also try the clean Boot by following the instructions on the link given
previously.
Also try scan for viruses and malwares in safe mode if you have a protection
software run a scan.

At the Welcome screen, log onto the default "Administrator" account, by
pressing ctrl-alt-delete Twice, and in the logon dialog that pops up, type in
'Administrator', and leave the password blank. Then run the configuration
utility to uncheck the backupnotify entry.

Hi Maggie,
Try this:
While the system is booting up Press CTRL + ALT + Delete on your keyboard
all in the same time, it is all about timing nothing else.
Then when you get the login Dialogue Box Select the Administrator and start
in safe mode, have a look into the event Viewer and see or look for any error
messages(X) that can shed some lights on the causer, which I thing may
something belong to HP Digital Imaging, do you have this software?.
Try to start with Clean boot by unchecking the unnecessary programs from
starting up.

Also make sure you clean up the Temp and run a scan on your computer.
