Help me please!!!! I have a problem I pray someone can help me with
it. I am an XP Home addition user. I can not seem to access the
website www.pge.com. No matter what browser I use, I.E., Netscape,
Mozzilla, nothing works. I have no problem with any other site. I
have contacted my ISP (Suddenlink), PGEs IT department, and we can't
seem to find the problem. All say it must be with my computer since
no one else has a problem. My roommate uses a MAC and he has no
problem accessing the site. I have tried everything including
disabling my firewall, Windows Defender, and NAV, and nothing seems
to work. I have downloaded updates from the MS website, and
nothing
works???

Please describe what's happening. Is there a specific error message?

What happens when you try the IP address directly:
http://131.89.128.50/

Did you delete temporary Internet files?

I got a message saying "Server Not Found", or "Could not Find". I
did try the IP address directly under the supervision of the PGE IT
person and the same happened, however when I tried the address you
just provided and "IT WORKED!" Also, I regularly delete my
temporary Internet files.

Can you tell me how do I correct it so I can use the normal address of
www.pge.com.

Try flushing the DNS cache:

Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /flushdns" (no quotation marks and
make sure you hit the space bar before the slash).

You may need to empty your browser cache once more and reboot.

HTH.
