Put HP DeskJet 855C into Google and search for the latest driver. Install
it and see if your situation improves.

Hello,
I'm using XP-Home, HP DeskJet 855C and recently have noticed that if I
need to print something from a internet site, my printer will not print
unless I unplug the cable and reconnect. The on-off and reset buttons
'freeze'. I am able to cancel the job from the control panel but that's
all. Resubmitting does not start printing even after canceling the job.
The error that I receive is that the printer is out of paper. It isn't. I
can print from Word, Notepad, Excel prior to attempting a url print, but
after that first attempt at url printing, I have to disconnect the
printer.
No errors in the event log, except the warning when I purge the print job.
Thanks for any help.
