There are 2 methods you can have your desktop icon into Taskbar. First one
is:

1. Right-click on an empty area of your Taskbar, point to Toolbar and
click
on Desktop. Then you will have all the icons on Taskbar.

Second one is, putting your icons in Quick Launch Toolbar. To do this:

1. Right-click on an empty area of your Taskbar and make a check mark on
Quick Launch (if not already checked).
2. Now, unlock your Taskbar by right-clicking on an empty area of your
taskbar and uncheck "Lock the taskbar" option.
3. You can see 2 handlers on both side of your Quick Launch Toolbar.
Increase the size of your Quick Launch by holding down the left mouse
button
right handler of Quick Launch and move it to the right side.
4. When there is sufficient empty space in your Quick Launch toolbar, hold
down any of your desktop icon and drag it to the Quick Launch.

This was of interest to me too, but when I check Quick Launch the bar
becomes double width. Is there any way of keeping it single?

TIA

John
