I had a problem Windows XP and getting my broadband connection, after trying different troubleshooting tips, I decided to re-install Windows XP (SP2)
Problem is I can no longer access my old files as I was Admin with files/folders restricted on my original install, now the new install won't allow me access to folders under that account and the files within
Is there any way I can gain access to those files, even just to delete them to delete the gb's of Hard drive they are taking up?
If you hadn't encrypted the data files (which could not have been done with WinXP Home), you may be facing nothing more than a simple permissions issue. Have you tried taking ownership of the old folders?
