Hello Friends
I have 2 PCs and I'm trying to access Internet from both.. The HOST PCs
Configuation is given below.. I'm connection to Internet using a Dialup DSL
Modem (USB) and I have a NIC in the Host..
The Problem is that I can successfully access Files and Printers on both
the PC but I cann't access Intenet from the Client PC. The HOST is
successfuly connecting to the Intenet.
The HOST is having a static IP (192.168.0.1) and the CLIENT gets its IP
automatically. I have ran Network Setup Wizard successfully on both the PCs.
I try to check Intenet Connectivity on the CLIENT by opening a Website
and/or pinging a public IP but both fail. File and Print sharing works
normally.
System Configuration (HOST)
PIV 1.6 Ghz, 1GB RAM, 250 GB HDD
WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL
1 DSL Modem (Connected via USB)
1 NIC
1 Bluetooth PAN
1 1394 (Firewire Connection)
System Configuration (CLIENT)
PIII 733 Mhz, 512GB RAM, 80 GB HDD
WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL
1 NIC
Thank you
You really need to create an Internet Connections Sharing (ISC) to be able
to share the Internet with the Host.
To do that read this Article:
