I set windows scheduler to wake up at 8am every morning, then put the
laptop in standby mode. However some mornings it wakes up, just fine.
But many mornings I find the computer is completely powered off. As
if there had been a power cut during the night which had wiped out
standby mode. (My laptop doesn't currently have a battery in) When I
turn the computer on, it just boots Windows from scratch, no
recollection of the previous session...
It's really annoying as its a basic function that should work!
PLease - any suggestions? (try a different power pack? try an
alternative to windows scheduler?)
My first thought would be to put a battery in it to deal with
potential power glitches. If you can't afford a battery, get an alarm
clock. :)
He already has the world's most expensive alarm clock! ;-)
