Setup new Font questions

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Guys
I try to install new fonts from my harddisk, I try to copy those fonts to
C:\windows\Font,
after I can use those font in all application. however the new fonts
disappear after reboot the computer. I try install font from Control panel.
nothing change.
p.s my os is windows 2000 Pro. any one can help me? thanks a lot
