Network Problem..
Xp Pro set up on a LAN using home phoneline network for 6 years..no
problems.
I have PC>U.S.Robotics 5461 wireless router>Linksys VOIP adapter>Cable
Modem> Also works well.
I had installed the router in order to ultimately switch to a wireless
network to provide access for a laptop.
Both the wired and wireless are working in tandem but I decided to back
up and install only an ad-hoc between the laptop and a PC on the lan,
but when I remove the router, I find that the Linksys VOIP has the same
IP as XP wants to use for its ICS and of course it won't turn on ICS
because of the conflict.
At this juncture, I hesitate to change the VOIP IP as it may rebel.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
