Thanks Ron for the info. I found that I have 6 entries of SVCHOST.EXE
in the log. Any idea why I have so many entries or is this normal.?
One
ove them takes 115 secs to load.-
Multiple instances of SVCHOST is normal with Windows XP. Each
instance loads a different set of services.
Taking 115 seconds to load does seem a bit excessive. Is there any
other data associated with that SVCHOST entry in the log that might
help to track it further, such as a Process Identifier (PID) number?

For some reason I looked at the services and found ATI package running,
I disabled in services and I'm now going to my desktop from loading
settings. The Whole boot takes about 1.40secs. And most of that is
taken up with Norton loading. Norton Protection Centre come as part of
the BT Yahoo package. Thanks for your assistance it was much
appreciated.
