XP Firewall and Peer-to-Peer File Sharing - can you help?
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hi
I have just downloaded LimeWire and Bearshare.
I am new to P2P.
I am concerned that others may enter my system
and gain access to files/data they shouldn't.
I say this because LimeWire state that it works
behind a firewall which seems to suggest it is
bypassing XP's firewall.
How can I ensure that others can only reach
the "shared folder" that Limewire installs?
Thanks in advance for any help suggestions.
Stephen
