I have XP Pro with SP2. Things were running smooth until this evening. I
turned on the machine, watched the black and white text flash by as
usual. Then the pretty windows splash comes up, the one with the nice
progress bar that crawls as the system boots up. But the progress bar
does nothing and the pc just sits idle. No cursor, no hardware drivers
installed. Nothing. It can be brought up in safe mode and some programs
run fine.
Just looking for advice on my next steps. Thanks
From safe modeyou can use system restore and turn it back a few days
