w_tom - please provide a reputable source that states, clearly, that UPS
devices do not provide any protection.
You. Leythos again will not provide a single numeric specification
for his wild speculations. His proof: he feels a plug-in UPS, without
earthing, must have protected. His reasoning depends on the existence
of an "invisible protector". Leythos proves again that protection does
not exist.
You, Leythos, made the claim that a UPS without earthing somehow
provided protection. Every source in
http://lightningsafety.com/nlsi_lhm/rtaf3.html demands earth ground
for protection. Where is it earthed? It is not. That plug-in UPS
has no earth ground. As Leythos proves again, that UPS does not even
claim to provide protection. The only protection provided by that UPS
was invented in Leythos imagination. An imagination that also comes
with no supporting facts, numbers, citations, or an IEEE standard.
Leythos lied. Protection by a plug-in UPS and by 'invisible
protectors' was Leythos using classic junk science reasoning. Even the
manufacturer will not claim what Leythos promotes. Leythos lied.
