I am having problems burning dvds. OS is winxp-pro, dvd
drives are sony dvd player and maddog 16x dual layer burner.
Software tried are 123-copy , dvd decryter, dvd shrink, dvdfab and
others. Error messages are invalid pointer and i/o errors, (ex: in
123-copy, invalid pointer. In dvd shrink, i/o error).
I have noticed that the aspi layer is in win\sys and win\sys32, but
not loaded.
All hardware and software are updated. Any help is appreciated.
Can you be more specific with the errors?
They will be in your event log:
Start -> Run -> eventvwr

As for your concern about ASPI...

Download and install that.
