Wow, thanks a lot for all the help offered.

A lot of it I don't understand until I get my head around it.
And don't laff but been mucking around with PCs for years - however, a
little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Anyway, many thanks and will try out suggestions. Its only a spare PC but
that's the one I like to try stuff I know nothing about on and will get back
to you if I can't fix.
