The *best* one for me is me. If you don't download bad stuff, properly configure your email client and browser,
don't open unsolicited attachments and properly maintain your computer you are likely as safe as you can be. If
it's a shared computer you are trying to protect you may wish to consider additional software. FWIW I have
McAfee Virus Scanner, use Windows XP firewall and run Ad-Aware on a regular basis but I have never had
any of these report anything untoward (not evening a malicious cookie). The only reason I have these are that I
am required to have them to connect to our coporate network.
All the nasty stuff that I have seen on other people's computers got their because they said yes to some pop-
up they saw and thought that it would be good to have.
