I recently installed Internet Explorer 7 onto my computer. My wife's computer
is networked to mine; she receives the same error.

The actual full-length message is: The webpage cannot be found.

Most likely causes:
There might be a typing error in the address
If you clicked on a link, it may be out of date

What can you try:
Retype the address
Go back to the previous page

This is happening randomely and not necessarily with each and every site.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Dave,
Are you sure your computer is Malwares free.
From your previous post it seems more complicated!.
What your connection to the Internet with Router or ICS sharing.
Is your wife have the same IE version or IE6.
Try this:
Open a Run Command and type:
netsh winsock reset click [OK]
and Reboot your machine.
HTH.

Thanks very much for your quick response. I tried your suggestion above; it
is not working. The same message is appearing on both my computer and that of
my wife. A little clarification first: My computer is the primary on the
home network. My wife's is connected via the Network. I also have a laptop
connected wirelessly to the same network. The laptop does not have this
problem. It only exists on the two desktop computers. Further, all three are
using IE7. I am using a router for the network. I also have Spysweeper and
Norton Anti-Virus on both desktops. They are both also using Windows
Firewall. Could there be an IP Address problem causing this to happen? Your
continued thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

Doug
