Re: Moving XP to new computer

wow, you must have been
one of the real lucky ones
to have a fancy o.s. since 1996.

unfortunately, my time displacement
machine was in the shop at the time.

why would you assume that
you cannot install the old hd on
the new pc?

I bought a copy of WindowsXP Pro about 10 years ago and have been using it
successfully so far.

I have now built a brand new computer and wish to move XP to the new
machine. I assume I cannot just install my old hard drive in the new
machine. How does one go about moving XP to complete new hardware without
encountering licensing or other problems?

Many thanks,
