ok, so i got on and read all the posts for defragmenting but nothing
so far has given me an answer to the problem. i defrag and i get te
message... "Some files on this volume could not be defragmented.
Please check the defragmentation report for the list of these files."
I have gone back and emptied temp files, i have scanned disk and
rescanned disk. 80% of my hard drive is free. i even went as far as
doing a hard drive self test and i still et the same message after i
defragment. when I go see the report to see what files wont defrag i
dont see any files at all. what do i do now?
thanks in advance for any help at all!

Actually, that's a question that comes up every once in awhile. It's normal
because there are some certain files that cannot be defragmented. So,
nothing to worry about. Eventually your level of expertise may rise and it
might make more sense then, but you should be OK ignoring it.
