Re: unwanted links on toolbar

I replied to your first post, which contained no info that you had done anything at all....in fact all you posted was a copy of someone else named Richard's post, asking for help to get rid of Spyware Quake.

The two errors you describe indicate that when you removed it or some other malware, you did not get all the entries referencing it. You also did not post anything about *how* you got rid of it. You addressed Ramesh but did not quote the procedure you followed, so readers of your current thread have no idea what you did. How you removed the problem app might tell us what might have been missed.

You could start by looking at what is in your startup axis.
Click Start> Run, type: msconfig
|Click OK|
Click the Startup tab and post back with what is listed there.

An easy way to get a listing of startups is to download and unzip HijackThis!, start it, click the "Config" button, then "Misc Tools", then "Generate StartupList Log" button. When the log appears in a Notepad window, copy and paste the contents into a reply here.

Glee, I've already done all that. The computer is now working top
notch...all except for those 2 error messages I get on only on start-up
(detailed in previous message I wrote). I just need to know now how to remove
those 2 messages. Thanks, Caroline
