I ran the chkdsk /f and it didn't tell me it did anything. I have scanned
this morning with a fully updated Norton antivirus. I have also rescanned
with ad aware and didn't find anything new.
when I ran the sfc /scannow it returned that
"Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the
DLL cache. Please insert your copy of Window XP Professional Service Pack 2
CD now."
This is a little strange because I have Window XP Home Edition SP 2 and it
is an OEM product so I don't think I have the CD for it.

I ran it but it said something about F parameter not defined, scanning in
Read only mode. Does this matter, Will it work like this or do I have to
change something in the way I invoke it?

I recently uninstalled my wireless ethernet card and removed the drivers and
software. when I connect through my wired connection most downloads above a
couple of MB are corrupted and most images viewed in IE6 above 150kb the
first 2/3 are okay and the last 1/3 is corrupted with strange colors and
such. I have run Norton antivirus and it doesn't find any errors. I have
also run Adaware and removed the critical items.
Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002 SP 2
Try to run a chkdsk.exe from the Run command or this command sfc /scannow
to repair any corrupt/Damaged system core files/folders may resulted from the
uninstallation of the wireless.
