The issue I have now is that in screen saver properties it says "On
resume, password protect" instead of "On resume, use welcome screen."
This is perfectly normal if one of the following conditions are true:
1. There is only one user account in the system
2. There are multiple accounts, but kept hidden (except one user account)
3. Welcome Screen is disabled (this is not the case here)

Hi All.
I am running Windows XP Pro and have recently reformatted and reloaded my
hard drive.
The issue I have now is that in screen saver properties it says "On resume,
password protect" instead of "On resume, use welcome screen."
I get the welcome screen when I first boot, but after the screen saver comes
on I get the old style password box and not the welcome screen when the
computer resumes from the screen saver.
I have the welcome screen and fast user switching enabled, am not a member
of a domain, and do not have the Netware I have been reading about.
I would like to know how to always get the welcome screen.
This worked correctly until I formatted the hard drive and reinstalled
Windows.
