Hello, everyone. This is just a short note to thank you for helping me
through my initial crisis (thinking I had a Trojan Horse).
My apologies for accusing NTREGOPT for being associated with something like
Trojan Horses. I have gained a lot of new knowledge here, and am sorry to
jumping to conclusions. In fact, I'll probably re-install this program on my
system.
In this post and my other one (leave it to me to make too long a title and
have to start a second post), there is a lot of information. I promise I
will read it, as you are never too old to learn (although I'm pretty old!)
Glen, I'm about 99% sure my problem is solved, but you (and DatabaseBen)
were so good to really work hard to help me, that I will do your HijackThis
log. What can it hurt? There seems to have been some disagreements in this
thread and if any information I can give you will help, I'd be more than glad
to. I don't have time tonight, but I will first read your links to
preliminary information I should know before running the program. It may be
this weekend before I actually run the program. I don't like trying this
type of thing after work when I'm not as alert as I should be. But I promise
I WILL do it and will email the file to you when it's finished.
Thanks again. I have taken an obscene amount of bandwidth between these two
posts. I'm sure Microsoft would be glad if I never come back. I'm sure you
would prefer that and so would I - I don't want any more problems (at least
for awhile)!

How do you make money if you offer the Advanced Searchbar for free?
Some of the 100+ search engines listed in the Advanced Searchbar may
pay a listing fee or may share revenue from advertising within the
search results (sponsored links).
Visual Spam.
Just like Google, Yahoo, MSN and all of the other search engines make
money, from people doing searches and hopefully clicking on a sponsored
link, otherwise we make nada.
So, you are just another source of showing Ad's to people.
Your statement "As for search bars, they're all crap and unnecessary
and do nothing of good for any computer." is total nonsense. You've
not tried the Advanced Searchbar yet.
Sorry, I've been a coder/designer since the 70's and I know crap when I
read about it - Search Bar's are all crap and don't have anything to
offer that you can't get without them.
You should also learn to properly Quote in Usenet if you're going to
present yourself as somewhat technical / knowledgeable.
