Re: Number Lock

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Will

I have already done this but it still drops out and/or doesn't come up
locked on start up.

Hi

You can enable NumLock via the Registry. Navigate to the following in the
Registry:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard

and double click on 'InitialKeyboardIndicators' in the right hand pane.
Set
the value to 2.

I am having trouble with the Number Lock Key not staying on at switch on
although Bios is set for it to be on.

Also it mysteriously cancels out for no apparent reason having set it to
be on manually.

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 and all Software updates are incorporated.

Thanks for any help

Martyn
