I'm at my wits end, and I hope that someone here can point me to a KBarticle
or offer some insight into what is happening.x-fi
I'm running a pentium 950, corsair xms2 ddr2 ram, x1900xtx, soundblast
platinum. Nothing is overclocked, running windows xp sp2 fully patched. All
drivers updated.does
The issue is simple, Windows does a complete hard crash on me, no mouse
movement, no alt-tabbing, just completely stops. On a reboot, Windows
not complain that it shutdown unexpectedly, there are zero error logs, andto
make matters worse, I can completely reproduce this issue, but I can't foron
the life of me track down the problem.
I can be using my computer playing world of warcraft for hours and hours
end without an issue; but, if I alt-tab out, and start up IE, Windows willWhen
freeze within 30 minutes. If WoW isn't running and I start up IE, Windows
will freeze within 30 minutes. I use firefox, windows does not freeze.
I use Ventrilo (VoIP application), Windows will freeze, when I use theVongo
movie service, I can download and watch movies fine, but if I do theirlive
streaming, windows will freeze. If I use the bit-torrent downloader forwow
patches, windows freezes. Its not a heating issue, and I can't for thelife
of me believe its a hardware issue since I can play video games withoutrelated
issue, use firefox without issue, etc. It would appear the issue is
to streaming, but I can't find anything even remotely being reported like
this as an issue.
Any ideas?
