Re: Windows Explorer Freezes

Hi Paige,

Sometimes I have trouble Spelling and with Names. However, I don't have
problems with Long Term Memories. :) You are correct, however.

Hi Paige,

Do this to help fix the problem:
1. - Use Explore and go to your Temp Folders and delete all files and
sub-folders in the \Temp folders.
2. - Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk
Cleanup. Run Disk Cleanup on each partition.
3. Start > My Computer > Right-click on the Hard Drive that the
operating system resides on and click Properties. Click Tools. Under
Error-checking click Check Now. Check both options. Click Start and click
Yes to Schedule for next Boot.
4. After you are back on the Desktop, check to see if you need to use
the Disk Fragmenter on this partition.
5. Use your Windows Registry Cleaner or if you don't have one, go to
http://www.tune-up.com/ and download a 30-day Trial Copy of TuneUp
Utilities 2006 and use its Registry Cleaner, until you have zero errors.

Reboot the computer and test operation.

In other words, use Maintenance first, then see if a problem remains.

Thanks, I will give it a try and report back.

By the way, don't you mean "Disk Defragmenter" and not "Disk Fragmenter"?
