more info, Re: settings can't change, even in Admin

My problem with the computer it that I go to the account user settings and
the only account listed there is the guest setting which won't allow you to
change anything.

The administrator account doesn't even come up. I tried to bypass that by
going to the properties setting and the password that I came up with for the
administrator account doesn't work.

A friend of mine had mentioned that you need a disk to over ride the
settings and reset the password

hi

I have a friend who says he is having trouble changing settings even if he
is in admin. Says he is having a problem downloading things too. (this
possibly could be the popup blocker) Has a problem with his updating his
virus scanner also (not sure which one he has)

"In my email he says, The administrator setting is still blocking me out."

Waiting to see if he can give me a little more information, wondering if
anyone has any suggestions??

thanks?
