Sounds like it all right. Problem is that there are always multiple
instances of SVCHOST running and each instance can have as many as 24
separate services running under it.
On the processes tab make note of the PID number for the problem
instance of SVCHOST.
Then open a Command Prompt window and enter the following command:
TASKLIST /SVC
Locate the PID number for the problem instance of svchost and make
note of the names of the services that are running under it. Post
that information back here.
If you do not have TASKLIST installed on your computer you can
download it from http://www.xmission.com/~comphope/download/winxp.htm
