Hi again all,
Clearing up my PC after a clean install of Windows XP, I have come across
a folder on my D: drive called "d71795891bd17f4". It has been on the drive
for about six months. I think it was created when I first upgraded to SP2,
but I could be wrong. It contained over 100 files, mainly .sys & .dll &
although it was only about 18mb in size, I still want to get rid of it. I
managed to delete all the files in the folder, but there are still three
empty sub-folders in it. I think I started copying files & folders from
one folder to another & accidentally dropped them into this
"d71795891bd17f4". Now when I try to delete it or any of the other
sub-folders, I get an "Access is Denied" error message.
The folder "d71795891bd17f4" is safe to delete, it was probably a service
pack install temporary folder.
This how you would gain access and be able to delete the folder.
