Error 30?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

My dad has recently started getting an "error 30" when he tries to print. As he lives at a distance, I cannot look at his machine myself right now, but he thinks it's coming from both Firefox 1.5.0.6 and Internet Explorer (he has SBC Yahoo DSL, so it's taken over IE6). The printer works fine from Word, etc. I've googled this error and have found it, but when I click on the various links, little info is to be found. His printer is a Samsung ML-1740 connected via parallel port to a machine running WinXP Home SP2 with Windows Firewall enabled. Antivirus is NOD32, and it's recently been scanned with Ad-aware and SpyBot. Before switching to NOD32, he was running Panda Titanium which had allowed the Zlob trojan to find its way onto the machine. My dad thinks it's gone, since he got clean scans before and after switching to NOD32, which he did with his network connection unplugged.

Can anyone yield some info on this one?

Thanks and Regards,

Margaret
