Re: non responsive dvd/cd drive

Download Tweak UI from here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

go to My Computer > Drivers and see if the check mark corresponding to the drive is unchecked. If so, uncheck it.

I receive a yellow dot with an exclamation mark on my dvd driver. d drive is
not showing in my computer. i have a combo ide5216co. Tried system restore
but how far do I have to go back without reinstalling software.
