Hi

You could try a search on the MS web site, using

event id <error code>

I am not receiving a BSOD with the black out. I have also recieved stop
codes in event viewer and on this computer i don't recieve stop codes in
event viewer. I recieve a System Error with and Error Code and parameter
codes. What is a good resource for translating these parameter codes.

Thanks

Zach

I don't understand the links, I didn't expirence a stop error. I also
wasn't in the middle of any type of power cylcle. (i.e. Stand By,
Hibernate, Shutdown, Start Up) I was using vertex, an engineering
program, looking at a 3D model and was zooming in and out and the screen
blacked out. Please clarify why you pointed me to that link.

Thanks

I have a dell computer that has been going to a black screen yet the
computer still is running. I have tried to get the screen to come
back, but the only way to do so is by shutting down the computer, and
losing the work that was unsaved on screen. I have checked the Event
Viewer for error messages, but the only error message is a system
error that appears when you reboot the computer. A picture of the
error message has been attached to this post. I am leaning towards
the fact that there is somthing wrong with the graphics on the
computer. I am going to try to replace the video card and see if that
helps, but i can't decode this error message and would like to know
what the error message is saying is wrong. It might not be a graphics
issue. Please let me know if anyone can make sense of the error
message.

Thanks
