I have to say , that sometimes it takes about 45 secs (!) to load the same
JCreator application , when no other applications are active (no browsers
are active , etc.)
Thanks in advance ,
Lior .

Hi ,
I use Pentium 4 1.5GHz , WinXP with SP2 , 512MB RAM DDR400 (My
motherboard , Via technologies , supports max. of 266MHz) .
loading JCreator Pro 3.50 (downloaded 30-days trial from
www.jcreator.com) consumes about 12 secs since launching the
application (after installing it)
till the splash screen (opening screen of JCreator) appears . 11-12
secs looks
too long . What do you think , and are there ways (without
expanding the physical RAM , ie. without buying additional RAM) to
improve the "running time" (ie. the loading time) of JCreator ?
JCreator is a Java-editing software (it can also edit HTML files ,
too) .
If it's written in java or loads java libraries on startup then it doesn't
seem too long to me at all. Quite a lot of Java based desktop apps can
seem quite sluggish at startup.
I'm curious: Is it a problem or are you just wondering if something is up?

I'm always surprised at "professionals" who STILL have to be asked:
"Have you checked (event viewer / syslog)".
