You need to turn off any Anti-Virus Background Scanning as well as
disabling any Spyware Scans occurring in the background, when you are
updating Windows or installing any Software program.

im having problems installing updates on my pc. it is trying to install 1
of
14 updates, and it just hangs and never completes the installation. this
is
what it says:

Initializing installation... done!
Installing 329170: Security Update (update 1 of 14)...

im assuming that i got a bad file from the update site and it wont update
me. i am unable to delete the installation files that are associated with
the updates.

i tried to download the administrator installation pack for sp2, that
wouldn't go either. i also tried to install the updates in safe mode,
with
no success.

please help!!!
