Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hello to all. I have a problem with the logon after installing .net
framework 1.1 [.nfw].

First let me say that I have no asp.net account listed in user accounts
in the control panel, but I do see one when I do the controll
userpasswords2[cupw2] thing.users must logon is unchecked and all the
accts are grayed out. I created a password and hit apply and ok.

I installed.nfw monday rebooted and auto logon did not happen. needed
to shut down manually twice because the logon screen which I need to
click went by in a micro second and went to the windows is starting up
screen. It never started up.I still cannot read the little rectangular
box with the tiny ok box in it. I think it has my name in it.

I did the controllusers passwords2 thing and it did not work.I created
a password[I never had one before] users must enter a name and
password to use this computer is unchecked

I am the only one using this computer and there are 2 accts in control
panel>user accts. 1 is mine [my name +administrator and the other is
guest which is off. There is a grayed out asp.net acct in the cupwd2
window

If i go to user accounts and click my account it does not give me the
option to change my password just to create one which I thought I did
when I did the cupwds2 thing.

I ran this aspnetfix.reg and that did not help.

In the tweak ui software In the autologon I have logon automatically at
system startup my name checked and the password is the same as the one
I created during the cupwds2 deal.

auto admin winlogon is set to 1 in registry. I am the auto default user

I have regprotect installed and running

http://www.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=regprot

I don't remember if it popped up a window when I rebooted after
installing .nfw.
I don't think it did.

Right not I would like to keep the .nfw but not with all this hassle.
One of these days ,with all the changes I have done, the computer will
not logon at all,and I don't need that

any suggestion welcome and appreciated.
