Yes. I've been a pc technician and I have heard of such arcane things as
add/remove software :-)) No dice. Cleaning out the registry - no dice.
Registry mechanic - no dice. Followed the most detailed instructions to
remove all unholy traces of mcafee from registry - no use at all.

have you used add/remove programs and unistalled them?

This feature is in the back of the windows closet, and for many of us it
