In your response, there are a couple of lines in the beginning regarding
"circumstantial evidence...."

Do you know why this is notated?

Thanks for the reply (and databaseben too)

Here's what I have -

WIN XP home SP2
Pentium 4 3 Gz
2.5 Gz RAM

Here are the applications I have running -

Eudora (email minimized to sys tray)
WinPatrol
Zone Alarm
NOD32 virus checker (with everything except MS word doc scanner
disabled)
MSGTAG (email notification tagger)
1st clock (sys tray clock replacement and alarm util)

I used to use spybot search and destroy but it is now one of the
programs that won't run on my system. Despite uninstalling and
reinstalling it just won't work. It hangs while scanning for problems.

I recently tried using some disk catalogue utilities too and tried 4
different programs. All 4 wouldn't work properly either, often locking
up while scanning CD / DVD disks.

I can download a program and it just wont work, yet the program does
work OK on my laptop so I know it works on win xp sp2.

Despite these problems, about 80% of programs work fine, but 20%
either are unusable or suffer constan program not responding problems.
:-(
